Ravi D Channannavar IPS

We all know poverty is a major issue in India. But then, we have seen many such personalities who never let their poverty come in between their dreams. This shows us that you can achieve anything in your life if you are dedicated to your dreams. But, it needs hard work and special efforts. So, Ravi D Channannavar IPS is one such officer who has gone through hardship. Therefore, to support his family, he worked at APMC filling chili sacks when he used to get summer holidays; he traveled with his parents to Goa, Mangalore, etc., to serve as manual laborers. Further, he battled with poverty, and with all his efforts, he was successful in becoming an IPS officer. But, there were also days when Ravi had nothing to eat for two days straight, and he had to survive without having anything.

Ravi D Channannavar IPS Officer Family

In the first place, let us talk about Ravi D Channannavar’s family wife photos and other details. His father is Dhyamappa Channannanavar, and his mother is Ratnamma. He is born on July 1, in the farming family of Neelagunda village in Gadag Taluk. Further, he completed his schooling at a local school of Dharwad that was a Nilgunda government school. As we have already mentioned, he was from a low-income family, so he happened to face the reality of life at a very early age. Hence, he took the responsibility of his education on his shoulders. He passed SSLC with distinction. While he was in Pre-university, he used to work at theaters as a sweeper and later as a waiter in the hotel. He scored 89% in his PU results. Further, he completed his degree from Karnataka Arts College. Ravi D Channannavar’s wife is Dr Triveni Patil.

Struggle

Earlier, we have also mentioned that he worked at theatres and APMC to support his parents, and he took responsibility for his education. The IAS officer mentions that he was lucky enough to study at Hulkoti as it was the place where he met Subash Sasvihalli, a businessman. He was the one who helped him financially to get UPSC coaching in Hyderabad. Further, he also thanked M G Bilagi, the assistant commissioner of Dharwad, for his support and guidance. So, In May 2007, Ravi D Channannavar left for Hyderabad to attend coaching classes for the IAS examination. Then, he was successful with his IAS exam, and he attained the rank of 703 in the Civil Services Examination (2008) in the first attempt. To accomplish this, it wasn’t easy at all.

Career

Now, let us talk about his career as an IPS officer. Ravi D Channannavar started his career as an Additional Superintendent of Police, Belgaum, in 2011; further, There he served at Dharwad, Hospet, Hassan district, Bangalore, Davangere, and Shivamogga. Currently, he is serving in Mysore. Ravi D Channannavar says that self-confidence and persistence are the two things one ought to have consistently. Likewise, he gives a ton of credit to his restrained way of life of following his timetable with no tolerance.

Achievements

Then, to protect women from stalkers, abuses, or any other crime against women, he created a women’s safety called “Onake Obavva Pade,” responsible for looking after the complaints. Further, for the auto safety training, he started people-friendly police and village stay programs. Then, he started medical programs and the police to assist in police canteen staff police. Later, to support farmers, he started the project called “nammuralobba Saadhaka.” Finally, he started free training for all those students who wish to become IAS officers. Further, Ravi D Channannavar IPS are well known for handling Ganesh Utsav violence brilliantly. In 2015 at Shivamogga, where it ended up imposing Section 144.

To minimize cybercrime, he instructed all cyber cafes in Shivamogga district to install security software ‘icafemanager’ on 17 April 2015. Along with handling his duty as an IPS officer, he successfully understood the problem of the public and tried to take measures on the same. Ravi D Channannavarstarted so many projects which helped many people with their problems. Further, he taught about women’s safety, police officers, farmers, etc. He could do all this because he knows and understands the real problems of life. He had been through hardship and understood it better more than anyone. So, he started free IAS training for many IAS aspirants.

He is known for acquiring novel solutions, such as asking youthful volunteers to manage traffic issues. By making the traffic warrants, they can deal with the gridlocks with better usefulness. Turning out just for two hours per day, and two days seven days, issues can be settled together says, Ravi. He has vowed to meet at regular intervals after finishing the work sent to tune in and resolve issues emerging.
