Your first post as an IFS will be as an Attache/Third Secretary. This is the post abroad. However, if you are posted in India, this post is called Under Secretary. This is the junior level IFS officer’s salary. The salary ranges somewhere between INR 8000 to INR 14000. This is the basic pay. However, there are many allowances.
