Exam Notification for GPSC 2020
GPSC conducts the GPSC exam for various posts. This depends on the available vacancies. Accordingly, GPSC OJAS Gujarat helps in the application process. Salaries
As we can see, the posts are divided into different classes. Hence, the salary varies as per the class. Class I officers receive an initial salary of INR 56,100. Whereas the highest cap to this salary is INR 1,77,500. On the other hand, there’s a different pay scale for Class II officers. These officers receive a minimum of INR 44,900. The maximum cap to this salary is INR 1,42,400. Both these salaries are as per the 7th Pay Commission.

GPSC Exam Pattern – Prelims

Eligibility for GPSC OJAS
After the GPSC Exam pattern, let’s look at the eligibility. GPSC OJAS exam requires the fulfilment of the following criteria. Firstly, the candidate must be an Indian Citizen. Secondly, he/she must be a subject of Nepal/Bhutan. He can also be a refugee migrated to India for permanent settlement. However, such a settlement must be before 1st January, 1962.

Age Limit for GPSC OJAS
There are various age limits for different categories in GPSC Exam. (GPSC full form is Gujarat Public Service Commission). Let’s look at them one by one. Firstly, let’s talk about SC/ST/Socially and educationally backward classes of Gujarat Origin. This category enjoys a 5 year age limit relaxation. That is up to 45 years. Further, there are women candidates of the reserved category. These candidates enjoy 10 years age limit relaxation. This is subjected to a maximum of 45 years of the age limit. Additionally, there are women candidates from the unreserved category. They enjoy 5 years of age limit relaxation. However, this too is subject to the maximum age limit of 45 years.
Moreover, there’s a provision for ex-servicemen. These officers must have served in the military for a minimum of 5 years. In addition to this, they will enjoy a 3-year relaxation. There is no upper age limit relaxation for government servants. Lastly, there are Physically Disabled candidates. These candidates enjoy a 10-year relaxation subject to the maximum age limit.
