Eligibility Criteria – OPSC Exam

In the first place, all kind of exams associated rules. Hence, before applying to any type of exam, you need to understand the eligibility criteria well. So, like any other exam, even OPSC also has certain criteria associated with it. Then, let us know about it below. So, you need to keep it mind, all the details especially education and age.   • Firstly, any candidate who is applying for the exam must be a citizen of India.
  • Then, coming to age one must be between the age of 21 to 32.
  • Lastly, education qualification, one must have a Bachelor’s Degree from any recognized University. In addition to this, candidates must know to write, read, and speak in the regional language is Odia. They also must have passed in Odia as a language subject in the middle school.
  • Or substitute above point, candidates must have completed Class 12 from a School or Educational Institution recognized by the Government of Odisha. One must have cleared a test in Odia in Middle English School arranged by the School Or Education Department of the Government of Odisha. Or candidates who have cleared HSC or equivalent exam with Odia as the medium of examination.

Exam Pattern – OPSC Exam

The OPSC Exam, is conducted in three stages. Therefore, one must clear all the stages to get shortlisted for the jobs. There are as follows:

  • To begin with, the Preliminary Exam
  • Then, Main Exam
  • Lastly, Personal Interview

Preliminary Exam

In the first place, the Preliminary Exam consists of 2 papers which will be in the form of objectives and time allotted 2 hours.

Paper 1 – It contains general studies and maximum marks – 200. So, based on the marks obtained merit list of test-takers will be finalized.

Paper 2 – Later, paper 2 contains aptitude questions with total marks of 200. So, candidates must get a minimum of 33% in Paper 2 else Paper 1 will not be evaluated.

Main Exam

Finally, we have an interview round, only those who have cleared the Main Exam will give the interview. Therefore, it is essential for you to clear the Main Exam. The marks allotted for this round is 200 marks. So, in this particular round, you will be checked on suitability for the job.   • Governance, Constitution, Panchayati Raj, Public Policy, Rights Issues
